Hello,

I've been through your web site and a few questions remain on the 310 Hypalon models:
  • What are the differences between the Deluxe and Light models?
  • What are the pros and cons of a folding transom vs. a rigid transom (other than the obvious difference in storage space required)?
  • Were there any changes between 2007 and 2008.

Thank You
Hello ryann,

The main difference between the Genesis Deluxe and Light are:
Deluxe includes:
Double Rub Rail
Bow Seat/Storage Locker
Deluxe Seat w/large storage bin
Stowable Telescopic Oars

Light includes:
Single lightweight Rub Rail
Light Seat w/small storage bin
Lightweight Stowable Oars

If weight is a factor for you then go for the Genesis Light as it is about 10 lbs lighter.

As for the question on the Folding Transom and Rigid Transom I would go for the Folding Transom. All our Genesis are manufactured as folding transom and then the dealer installs a Rigid Transom Kit to the boat. You won't notice a performance difference on the water between the two, and you will have a bit more room in the cockpit area with the folding transom (as the Rigid Transom Brackets take up room).

2007 vs 2008 - We didn't make any changes.

Hope this helps,
Brad
Bradley,
Is there anything that will clean the floor panels? I have tried every cleaner I have and the dirt seems to be ground in. Other than that, it is an almost perfect inflatable.

Jim
Hello Jim.

Our production team uses WD-40 to clean the floor panels, just make sure you wipe it well to remove the WD-40 after.
