On getting my WB10 out for the new season I am unable to get the rudder to drop when I pull the green cord. I am pulling as hard as I think the rudder assemby will take without breaking, and it does not want to cooperate. It is in the fully up position.
I have dismantled it and examined it and nothing appears to be broken, am I missing something here? Any light you can cast on this would be greatly appreciated.
Having reassembled it several more times in the down position, I find that it is possible to move it from this position but only using considerable force.
I conclude that the whole thing is working properly but just has more friction than desired. Would it be legitimate to apply a little silicon oil to the black rubber "O" ring inside the white bush?? Or elsewhere?
Any guidance will be greatfully received.

I took mine apart and sprayed a little silicone on it. Much easier.
