There's lots of wind around here and my WB10 goes well in it, but to balance the boat nicely my weight really belongs a little further forward than the stern bench seat.
Does anyone know of a supplier of a simple side seat to bridge between the rear and middle cross-benches?
They would obviously have to be quite small to avoid taking up working room. Equally obviously they would have to be manufactured to fit in with the standard fixings of the boat as there's no way I'm going to do crude surgery on my beautiful WB10!

My God-daughter, who has more sailing experience than I, commented that it seemed funny sitting In the stern to sail. My solution was to make 2 side seats out of premium 1x6 PT wood, long enough to overlap both the centre and rear seats. To hold them in place I screwed 2 pieces of 2x4 PT to the underside of each to put pressure on the side of the seats and to hold them in place. They work great for me [65y old]. I suggested to WB that they do this in plastic. I guess they haven't. Hope this works for you.
Thank you for the reassurrance that I'm not causing the problem myself. I'll try to manufacture something similar to what you describe and try it out. If it works I'll post a picture of it here.
I weigh over 100 kilos and I sit on the gunwale between the transom seat and the thwart. More weight out to keep her more upright so the sails can do their work as well. In light airs I usually end up kneeling inboard and then just weight shifting to keep good trim. I am thinking of fitting some toe-straps for when the wind really works up and then I can hike out properly. I do have the tubes inflated but try to keep them off the water if I can.

I lay on the floor behind the middle seat. Very comfy plus the beer holder are within reach.
It balances the boat better.
